Googledigger

Just read Duncan Riley's article "Google Experimenting With Digg Style Voting On Search Results" on techcrunch.com

The last thing Google will do, is to include a "vox populi" that's easy to subvert into their search algorithms. It's [at the moment] just a personal feature to attract "The Digg Crowd". Otherwise you'll have thousands of very badly paid SEO monkeys, typing in keyphrases and then giving company's direct competitor's listings negative ratings. Google is doing a very good job at the moment to make it as challenging as possible to influence search engine results. And they'll do everything to keep it like that. The future of the internet is not anarchy and not even a democracy but a cosy monarchy with king Google playing the "Friendly Papa Web".

Pencil Bench

Boex 3D Creative Solutions designed this award winning, quirky bench from a single conversation to see if they could incorporate an everyday office object into a piece of furniture.

The seat is made up of 1600 pencils which are individually sprung. Each pencil can be removed and used.

The best paid directories after the Google crackdown

Jeesus.. I REALLY hate the Spice Girl Reunion! But even more I hate shitty directories.

So here it comes: The first bit of helpful SEO [no shit]. After the recent Google PageRank Crackdown lot's of directories [paid and free] lost the PageRank of their sub pages [that's where the links are!] either completely or went from 5 to 1. Ok, some of us know that PageRank is generally a bit overrated [and Google is pushing the importance of it's holy cow even more] but if you pay your hard earned cash for a directory listing, you don't want to be listed on a page that Google rates "Totally Meaningless Crap". So, here you go.. The following list contains 30 quality paid directories with a minimum of PageRank 3 on the sub pages. Enjoy!

Breath! Press! Press!!! Breath! Press!!! PRESS!!!!! ploink...

So, here we are.. the birth of a new blog. SO WHY DOES THE WORLD NEED ANOTHER BLOG?! Because it's a good blog. As good as it gets. Seriously. And it will be in funny english >> It's a blog by an ex-German guy who lives in Cornwall UK.

NOT ANOTHER SEO BLOG - PLEASE!!!!!

Well.. you're right. Nobody needs another "SEO guy" wanking off about how clever he thinks he is. So, I'll promise to only write occasionally about SEO. To be honest: I don't want to give away any overly-clever job secrets anyway. But there is lot's of SEO gossip [winners & losers] and the occasional rant to give away for free. Watch this space.

Ok, VOLLGAS!
